Family Man, Local Business Leader

Greg Rabaey is a local businessman who has spent more than 30 years building a successful career in the technology and energy industries. Today, Greg serves as the President of Santanna Energy Services, an employee-owned retail energy company that provides electricity and natural gas to tens of thousands of homes in the United States.

Rabaey graduated from Minnesota State University – Mankato, earning his B.S. in mathematics, physics, and computer science. He later attended the University of Arizona, where he received his M.S. and Ph.D. in physics. Greg has published nearly two dozen academic research articles on computational physics, solar physics, and solving problems using numerical methods.

Greg recently served as Vice Chair of the Round Rock Planning and Zoning Commission and an at-large member of the city’s Charter Review Commission, Zoning Board of Adjustment, and Capital Improvements Advisory Committee. Greg is a graduate of Leadership Round Rock (May 2013) and the Round Rock Police Department Citizens Police Academy (November 2022).

An active member of the Round Rock community, Greg also volunteers his time with a number of community and service organizations, including Scouts BSA, SERTOMA Round Rock, the Northwest Austin Rotary Club, the Round Rock Area Serving Center, the Knights of Columbus, and Round Rock Youth Baseball/Softball.

Greg and his wife, Pam, have called Round Rock their home for more than three decades. They are the proud parents of four incredible children: Brian, Sarah, Anthony, and Matthew, and the proud grandparents of five adorable grandchildren.
