My Core Values that will Guide my Actions on the Round Rock City Council:
My “Pillars” for a Better Quality of Life in Round Rock:
As a husband, father, local businessman and community volunteer, Greg will fight to keep property taxes low, prioritize spending on essential city services and infrastructure, and cut waste from the city budget. Affordability is critical to maintaining a high quality of life, and Greg will always protect the taxpayers of Round Rock.
Crime destroys quality of life. Our front-line public servants need and deserve the support of the community and our local elected officials. On the city council, Greg will fully fund our police and fire fighters, and he will fight any effort to “defund our police” or hinder their ability to protect our community. Under his watch, Greg will ensure that Round Rock has safe places to live, work and go to school.
When it comes to quality of life, we must reject the ideas and policies that have plagued Austin and threaten our community – a lack of planning for the homeless, high taxes, skyrocketing crime, and stifling traffic. People are moving to Round Rock to escape the problems in Austin and Greg is committed to maintaining our quality of life by rejecting these policies.
Water is the energy of the future, and a lack of clean, dependable water sources affects our quality of life. Before it becomes a crisis, we must plan for and secure long-term water sources. A community with safe, dependable water supply means our children and grandchildren will be able to live and prosper in Round Rock for generations.
Traffic is a daily nuisance that costs us time at work and time with family. It harms quality of life, and it must be addressed through long-term, strategic planning. While cities like Austin have failed to plan for the future, Greg is focused on finding long-term mobility solutions so that you can spend more time doing the things you love, and less time sitting in traffic.
